Turboprop aircraft are equipped with gas-turbine engines, allowing flying and traveling at high altitudes (35.000ft), with ranges between 600 and 1000 miles (1850 Km).
Compared to piston-powered aircraft, turboprop aircraft are larger, carry more payload, seat more passengers and fly more cost efficient also due to lower fuel consumptions. They are typically used to fly up and down airports with short/narrow runways and able to operate in very challenging environments such as terrain and weather.
Courchevel is a nice example of such a challenging airport, not being able to accommodate jet traffic. A PC 12 however, serves as the perfect alternative for the job.
Besides the PC12, the well-known Beechcraft King Air series complete our turboprop-fleet. Both types normally seat 6 to 8 passengers in business configuration; modifying to more spacious seating configurations goes quick and easy.
The Beechcraft King Air can be configured with television equipment and serves the (primary) purpose of performing radio- and television relay flights.
