For the new Legacy 450/500 program, Embraer started from a blank sheet introduced during the EBACE convention in Geneva, back in 2008.
This mid-size twin-engine business jet is equipped with high technological “fly-by-wire” flight controls, an innovative side-stick control, a synthetic vision system with flight path stability, ensuring the smoothest flight possible. Up until recently, no Super-Midsize Jet but only the high-end long range Falcon 7X from Dassault and the G650 from Gulfstream were equipped with this technology.
The Legacy 450 defies every definition of a mid-light jet. The aircraft features the quietest and largest cabin in its class featuring a flat floor, 1.83 m high, 2.08 m wide and 6,83 m long, which can accommodate up to 9 passengers. Two fully berthable club seats could be reclined to create a bed.
The cabin is equipped with the Honeywell Ovation cabin management system, which provides full control of the climate system via individual touchscreen panels and can keep a cabin altitude of 6.000 ft at its operational ceiling of 45.000ft. For sure one of the lowest cabin altitudes in the industry.
In-flight entertainment is ensured via a iPhone/iPad application, Wi-Fi connectivity, sat phone and a CD/DVD/MP3/Blu-ray player. Additionally, onboard this aircraft you have a microwave, mini-bar, water boiler, Nespresso coffee machine and spacious lavatory with sink and storage cabinet.
