ASL receives SPO (Specialised Operations) approval
21/04/17 We are pleased to inform you that since yesterday, ASL has become the first Belgian AOC holder to be allowed to perform "Specialised Operations" aka SPO operations.
Since yesterday, April 20, ASL has become the first Belgian AOC holder to be allowed to perform "Specialised Operations" also known as SPO operations.
EASA Air Operations Regulation (EU) No 965/2012 Part-SPO (Specialised Operations) applies to any aircraft operation, other than commercial air transport, where the aircraft is used for specialised activities such as agriculture, construction, photography, surveying, observation, patrol and aerial advertisement, or for relay missions, which is one of ASL's specialties (thanks to the Beech 200 fleet).
Operators engaged in commercial specialised operations or engaged in non-commercial specialised operations using a complex motor-powered aircraft now have to submit a declaration to the NAA about the type of operation foreseen under Part-SPO.
This is yet another important achievement for ASL. This project was carried out quickly and in a very efficient manner, which is a challenge in this ever-growing and complex European regulatory framework.
