ASL Group is established in 1997 and operates mainly non-scheduled charter flights under it’s three AOC’s. Together we manage a fleet of more than 50 aircraft and 18 different types operating worldwide.
We are looking for a Junior Flight Dispatcher Trainee to reinforce our OCC team in Netherlands working from Rotterdam Airport. All ASL Group flights are prepared and dispatched from this location. JetNetherlands BV (part of ASL Group NV) is seeking a highly motivated Junior Flight Dispatcher Trainee to join our operations team. As a Junior Flight Dispatcher Trainee, you will be an essential part of our operations team, assisting with the planning and coordination of flights. You will learn to ensure that all flights operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing flight plans, including fuel calculations and weather assessments.
- Monitor and track flight progress, communicating with pilots and ground staff as needed.
- Learn to analyze and interpret meteorological data and air traffic control information.
- Support senior dispatchers in ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all flight operations.
- Participate in training sessions to develop skills in flight dispatching.
- Arrangement of handling, airport slots, overflight and landing permits, fuel and other flight relevant tasks for our adhoc charter flights.
Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Science, or a related field preferred.
- Preferred Graduated from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Aviation Studies. (HOGESCHOOL VAN AMSTERDAM Aviation studies)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of aviation principles and air traffic regulations is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with flight dispatch software is an advantage.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
